Braves' Joel De La Cruz: Likely to be skipped next week

The Braves are expected to skip De La Cruz the next time through the rotation, David O'Brien of the Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports.

Analysis:

With Monday's off day, the Braves can move Matt Wisler and the rest of their starters up while keeping them on normal rest. Only three of the six runs against De La Cruz on Friday were earned but it was nonetheless an uninspiring performance. De La Cruz is now 0-7 with a 4.66 ERA, 1.41 WHIP and 26:16 K:BB in 48.1 innings with the big club this season.
