Padres' Jon Jay: Transferred to 60-day DL
Jay (forearm) was transferred to the 60-day DL on Saturday.
Analysis:
The Padres claimed Oswaldo Arcia off waivers Saturday, so moving Jay to the 60-day DL will free up a spot on the 40-man roster. Jay continues to work back from a fractured forearm and began hitting off of a tee roughly a week ago. At this point, he's likely looking at a mid-September return.
