Cubs' John Lackey: Slated for bullpen session

Lackey (shoulder) will throw a bullpen session in Chicago on Monday, Carrie Muskat of MLB.com reports.

Analysis:

The Cubs are being cautious with the big picture in mind, easing Lackey through his throwing progression after he developed a some shoulder stiffness earlier this month. His move to the DL was described by Muskat as "precautionary more than anything."
