Pirates' Chad Kuhl: Tosses fifth straight quality start
Kuhl struck out five and held Milwaukee to two runs on five hits and two walks over 6.1 innings Thursday, but received no decision.
Analysis:
The unheralded 23-year-old has carried a strong career in the minors forward into early success as a major leaguer, as he now owns a 3.50 ERA over his first eight starts. Kuhl doesn't strike many batters out -- five's his high and he has just 27 over 43.2 innings -- but he's tossed five consecutive quality starts, allowing only eight earned runs in that span.
