Red Sox's Marco Hernandez: Back from Pawtucket

Hernandez was recalled from Triple-A Pawtucket on Thursday, Michael Silverman of the Boston Herald reports.

Analysis:

Andrew Benintendi (knee) was placed on the DL on Thursday, so Hernandez will return from Triple-A to fill the vacancy on the 25-man roster. Hernandez has appeared in 29 games for Boston on the season and holds a .295/.367/.386 slash line across 44 at-bats. With rosters set to expand in less than a week, Hernandez could remain with the big league club for the remainder of the season.
