Brewers' Chase Anderson: Returns to starting role with solid effort

Anderson pitched five innings, allowing three runs on six hits and two walks while striking out six Rockies in Tuesday's no-decision.

Analysis:

Making his first start since injuring his quad on Aug. 16, Anderson tied his season high in strikeouts over a 96-pitch effort Tuesday. The 28-year-old has shown improvement in recent weeks, logging a 3-0 record with a 3.82 ERA, versus a pre All-Star break record of 4-10 and an ERA of 5.44. Anderson is scheduled to make his next start Sunday against the Pirates.
