Dodgers' Scott Kazmir: Placed on 15-day DL

Kazmir was placed on the 15-day DL on Tuesday with neck inflammation.

Analysis:

Kazmir's attempt to pitch through his soreness Monday proved ill-fated, as he was forced off the hill after 2.2 innings and will now need at least a couple weeks to let the inflammation die down. It's uncertain who will take Kazmir's next turn but Jose De Leon will be an option to start Saturday for the big club on normal rest.
