Dodgers' Clayton Kershaw: Needs another standard bullpen

Kershaw (back) will throw another extended bullpen session in a couple days, David Vassegh of 570 AM Los Angeles reports.

Analysis:

While Kershaw suggested after Tuesday's bullpen that he was ready to face live hitters, the team has decided the lefty will throw another standard side session, this time building up to 60 pitches. From there, Kershaw may be cleared to head out for what is expected to be a one-start rehab assignment in the minor leagues to prepare for a return to Los Angeles.
