Giants' Matt Moore: Takes loss Saturday

Moore took the loss against the Mets on Saturday after giving up three runs on five hits while walking three and striking out three over five innings.

Analysis:

Moore continues to struggle with his new club, posting a 4.70 ERA and 1.48 WHIP through four starts. One of his biggest issues has been a lack of control, walking 17 batters in 23 innings with the Giants. Moore does have a 3.35 BB/9 on the year, and while that isn't a great mark, it is definitely better than walk rate he is posting in San Francisco. His next start against the Dodgers should be considered a risky play, but the upside in the matchup lies in the Dodgers' lefty-heavy lineup.
