Blue Jays designate Thole for assignment

The Toronto Blue Jays have designated catcher Josh Thole for assignment as Dioner Navarro officially reported to the club Monday.
Toronto acquired Navarro on Aug. 26 from the Chicago White Sox for a minor-league pitcher.
Navarro is batting .210/.267/.339 this season in 85 games.
Thole has never been an offensive juggernaut, which has continued this season to the tune of batting .158/.246/.211 in 47 games, primarily serving as R.A. Dickey's personal catcher.
