Dodgers' Scott Kazmir: Picks up 10th win Wednesday

Kazmir (10-6) threw five innings of two-run ball, dancing around eight hits and three walks while striking out just one to earn the win.

Analysis:

While not exactly a dominant line, Kazmir got the job done Wednesday, giving him double-digit wins for the eighth time in his career. Kazmir has done so despite a mediocre 4.41 ERA, having surrendered 20 home runs this season, which puts him on pace for a career-high. Kazmir has, however, struck out 133 batters in 132.2 innings, right in line with his strikeout per inning career pace. The veteran lefty isn't always dominant, but he has demonstrated sneaky strikeout ability for years, and figures to be a key piece of the Dodgers' playoff push especially so long as Clayton Kershaw remains sidelined.
