It's been a while since Bryce Harper trotted around the bases.

In Wednesday's matinee against the Colorado Rockies, the Washington Nationals' slugger stepped up to the plate in the fifth inning and did something he hasn't done in a while - hit a home run.

The 481-foot moonshot off Christian Bergman was Harper's first homer since July 20, the longest of his career, and the fourth longest of the season in the majors, according to ESPN.

Expectations this seasons were sky-high for Harper, who is only 23-years-old. He was named the National League MVP in 2015 after belting 42 home runs.

This season he has 21 homers to go with 86 walks.
