Cubs' John Lackey: On track for next start
Lackey (shoulder) says he is "alright" and expects to start Saturday against Colorado, Jesse Rogers of ESPN.com reports.
Analysis:
After leaving Sunday's game against St. Louis in the seventh inning with shoulder stiffness, Lackey acknowledged it was likely caused from warming up in the bullpen during Friday's extra-inning win. The veteran said he had been feeling tight since the bullpen session and manager Joe Maddon erred on the side of caution by removing him.
