Red Sox's David Price: Command a problem in Sunday's loss

Price (9-8) allowed six runs (three earned) on six hits and five walks over five innings in an 8-5 loss to the Dodgers on Sunday.

Analysis:

The Red Sox lost all three games Price pitched on the team's 11-game road trip, and he was once again left lamenting some element of his performance after a start. "That's the worst I've commanded the baseball in a game in a long time," Price told Christopher Smith of MassLive.com. "Made some really good pitches and then didn't make some good ones. And they waited me out and had some good takes. It's part of it." The left-hander's inconsistency this season is pretty well reflected by his 9-8 record and 4.34 ERA.
