Mets' Bartolo Colon: Keeps Yankees grounded in win
Colon (10-6) held the Yankees to a single run on six hits over 6.2 innings in Thursday's 4-1 win. He struck out one and didn't walk anyone.
Analysis:
The 43-year-old wonder knew he had to keep the ball on the ground as a righty in Yankee Stadium, and he did just that, generating a dozen grounders. Colon's been on the every-other-start plan lately -- over his last seven outings, he's alternated wins and blowups. There's not a lot of middle ground there, so fantasy owners who roll out Colon know they're taking a calculated risk that he'll deliver one of his good outings. He next starts Wednesday against the Diamondbacks, an imposing foe.
