Nationals' Jayson Werth: Not in Sunday's lineup

Werth is out of the lineup Sunday against the Giants, MLB.com's William Ladson reports.

Analysis:

Werth is getting what appears to be a regular day off for the afternoon contest, although it's a bit surprising considering his track record against opposing starter Matt Cain (5-for-10, 1 HR). Regardless of the motive, Werth will take a seat in favor of Chris Heisey in left field, breaking a streak of three consecutive starts.
