Giants' Hunter Pence: Activated from disabled list

Pence (hamstring) was activated from the DL on Saturday, Alex Pavlovic of CSN Bay Area reports.

Analysis:

The hamstring injury cost Pence nearly two months -- tendon was torn from bone and surgery was necessary -- but Pence will return Saturday to take on Reynaldo Lopez and the Nationals. He will man right field and bat fifth. Pence only needed seven rehab games with Triple-A Sacramento to prove his health, going 10-for-24 with two doubles and three homers while reporting that the leg feels strong. He's batting .298/.375/.486 this season.
