Braves' Mike Foltynewicz: Earns one of 2016's ugliest wins

Foltynewicz (4-4) got the win in Minnesota on Wednesday despite giving up seven runs (six earned) on a dozen hits in 5.1 innings.

Analysis:

This is about as bad a win as you can get; Folty raised his ERA by more than half a run in what could certainly be characterized as his worst start of the year, but the Braves gave him just enough support to leave with the lead. The 24-year-old fireballer remains a work in progress -- his strikeout rate remains solid and his control has mostly been excellent, but his tendency to give up homers has been his ruination. Foltynewicz has now given up 13 long balls in 12 starts.
