Padres' Andrew Cashner: Not traded yet, hurls six innings Tuesday

Cashner threw six innings of three-run ball on Tuesday, allowing four hits and three walks while striking out six and earning a no-decision.

Analysis:

After reports early Tuesday that Cashner could have potentially been traded prior to Tuesday's start, the right-hander was not in fact traded and pitched well for the Padres at home against Toronto. Although he allowed a pair of homers, Cashner allowed just four hits against a powerful Blue Jays offense. After Cashner left the game with a 4-3 lead entering the seventh, the Padres bullpen promptly blew the lead and eventually lost the game 7-6 in extra innings on a walk-off wild pitch. Cashner now has a 4.76 ERA over 16 starts for the Padres in 2016, although it's quite possible his next start will come in a different uniform.
