Marlins' Jarred Cosart: Tosses five shutout innings in return to majors
Cosart took a no-decision on Monday despite shutting out the Phillies over five innings. He allowed three hits, walked one and struck out three.
Analysis:
Cosart was making his first major league start since April, taking the spot of Wei-Yin Chen. The righty was a mess at the MLB level in April, and hasn't fared much better in Triple-A, posting a 4.09 ERA and 1.58 WHIP. The strong outing Monday should earn him another start Saturday, this one against the Cardinals.
