Injuries to Prince Fielder (neck) and Shin-Soo Choo (back) forced the Rangers' hand Wednesday as they had to call up reinforcements just days after the All-Star break. Alberto will add depth at first base while also providing depth in the middle infield spots. During Alberto's 24-game stint with the big league club earlier in the season, he slashed .162/.162/.162 with a 33 percent strikeout rate over 39 plate appearances.
