Bautista (toe) homered in the first at-bat of his rehab assignment with High-A Dunedin on Wednesday.
Analysis:
The slugger is inching closer to a much-anticipated return, and could be back with the team as early as Monday. Although the competition isn't in the same stratosphere as Bautista, it's still an encouraging sign to see him go deep right out of the gate. News on a potential return should come soon after he moves up to Triple-A Buffalo on Friday.
