Dodgers' Clayton Kershaw: Could return in St. Louis series

Manager Dave Roberts indicated Sunday that Kershaw (back) won't be ready to throw Thursday but didn't rule out a return for the St. Louis series beginning Friday, Ken Gurnick of MLB.com reports.

Kershaw most recently threw a 60-pitch simulated game Saturday, and it appears nothing concerning surfaced following the session. The Dodgers certainly want to avoid any re-injury risk for their ace, but a return is seemingly in sight. More on his timetable should arise as the week progresses.
