Cubs' Dexter Fowler: Will not resume rehab until next week

Fowler (hamstring) will not resume his rehab assignment until next week at the earliest, Jesse Rogers of ESPN Chicago reports.

Analysis:

Fowler played in just one game after beginning a rehab assignment late last week, and it appears the Cubs still want to keep tabs on him for the time being, as he will be with the big league club in Chicago through the weekend. Assuming all goes well over the next few days, he should be able to get back into minor league games next week and will have a chance to rejoin the big league club before July comes to a close.
