Astros' Dallas Keuchel: Quality start versus Athletics

Keuchel allowed just one run with five strikeouts and two walks across seven strong innings Sunday versus the Athletics. He did not factor into the decision.

Analysis:

Keuchel threw the ball well, as he pounded the zone at a 62-percent clip and induced nine swinging strikes, but he was on the hook for the loss until Evan Gattis tied the game in the bottom of the ninth. The 2015 Cy Young award winner has struggled to replicate his previous form this season, but he has now pieced together five consecutive quality starts and has lowered his ERA nearly a full run to 4.80. His next outing will come after the All-Star break.
