Nationals' Ryan Zimmerman: Hopes to return after 15 days

Zimmerman (ribs) hopes to return after spending the minimum 15 days on the DL, MASN's Dan Kolko reports.

Analysis:

According to manager Dusty Baker, Zimmerman felt something on a swing during Wednesday's game, and upon further evaluation was found to have a left rib cage strain. It marks Zimmerman's sixth consecutive season with a trip to the DL. Zimmerman seems to think he'll still be available for most of the second half, but he will need to progress quickly through his rehab program and avoid any setbacks in order to return after 15 days.
