Giants' Denard Span: May be DL bound

Span (neck) had an injection and might be headed to the DL, Alex Pavlovic of CSN Bay Area reports.

Analysis:

An official move could come prior to Monday's game, as the Giants may opt to place Span on the DL with the activation of Sergio Romo. In Span's absence, Gregor Blanco and Grant Green will likely see additional playing time in center field.
