Pirates' David Freese: Gets the day off Sunday

Freese has started the last seven games for Pittsburgh, even though three of those contests have been against a right-handed pitcher. The 25-year-old has improved against righties this season, posting a .269/.349/.398 slash line over 192 plate appearances. With the numbers on his side, Freese appears poised to be a regular starter for the Pirates moving forward, but he'll take a seat Sunday for a regular maintenance day.
