Twins' Joe Mauer: Enters lineup Sunday in late switch

Analysis:

The Twins had scheduled a day off for Mauer with lefty Cole Hamels taking the ball for the Rangers, but Mauer's replacement, Trevor Plouffe, complained of sore ribs prior to the game, resulting in manager Paul Molitor making a late lineup switch. Mauer has gone hitless with a pair of strikeouts in nine career at-bats against Hamels.
