Orioles' T.J. McFarland: Lands on DL with knee injury

McFarland (knee) was placed on the 15-day DL on Thursday, Brittany Ghiroli of MLB.com reports.

Analysis:

The knee issue has been lingering for quite a while -- he was treated with a cortisone shot back in mid-May and spent time on the minor league DL. McFarland has been riding the shuttle between Norfolk and Baltimore throughout the first half of 2016, posting a 5.63 ERA, 1.63 WHIP and 7:9 K:BB in 15 appearances with the big club.
