Athletics' Billy Burns: Added to Wednesday's lineup

Burns has been added to the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Giants, Jane Lee of MLB.com reports. He will bat ninth against right-hander Jake Peavy.

Analysis:

Burns was slated to sit for the second straight day and for the third time in four days, but with Khris Davis (shoulder) scratched, Burns will slot into the lineup in center field. Coco Crisp will move to left. With one hit in his last five games (17 at-bats), Burns is now batting .171 in June and .235/.271/.302 for the season.
