Braves' Mike Foltynewicz: Could start Thursday against Marlins
Contrary to a previous report, Foltynewicz (elbow) remains a strong candidate to be activated from the DL to start Thursday against Marlins, 680 The Fan's Kevin McAlpin reports.
Analysis:
The Braves had Julio Teheran listed as Thursday's probable starter earlier in the day, but now that spot is back open, with Teheran scheduled to start Friday. Foltynewicz has been decent this year by Braves' pitching prospect standards, posting a 3.51 ERA and 28:8 K:BB in 33.1 innings. He's still likely more of a back-end arm long-term, but he's worth a really deep mixed leagues and NL-only leagues.
