Mets' Logan Verrett: Will start Wednesday
Verrett will start Wednesday against the Nationals, Kristie Ackert of the New York Daily News reports.
Analysis:
With Steven Matz (elbow) getting pushed back to Thursday, the Mets had a hole in their rotation heading into Wednesday. Verrett, who has made four starts this season, will get the nod in Matz's place Wednesday. In four starts this season, Verrett has worked a 5.79 ERA to go with a 1.77 WHIP across 18.2 innings.
