The New York Yankees are reportedly set to announce a landmark deal that will make StubHub their official ticket re-seller.

The team said Sunday that a press conference has been scheduled for Monday morning at Yankee Stadium, where club president Randy Levine will make a "major announcement" alongside StubHub officials.

Sources tell ESPN's Darren Rovell that the agreement with the online marketplace will undo the Yankees' current deal with Ticketmaster as the team's official re-seller. According to Bloomberg's Scott Soshnick, the new deal with StubHub is for six years, $100 million.

Under terms of the current deal, fans are only allowed to enter Yankee Stadium with a physical ticket or mobile ticket purchased from the Yankees Ticket Exchange, which is operated by Ticketmaster. Fans are still allowed to buy or sell tickets on StubHub, but must do so well in advance after the Yankees announced they would no longer accept print-at-home tickets.

The changes were made prior to the 2016 season, and stemmed from an ongoing feud with StubHub, which had previously been in partnership with the Yankees until their agreement ended in 2013. In February, Yankees chief operating officer Lonn Trost said the club had become concerned that a fan buying a discounted ticket from a resale service like StubHub ''may be someone who has never sat in a premium location, so that's a frustration to our existing fan base.''

His comments sparked outrage among certain Yankees fans, who interpreted the remarks as elitism. It also prompted a campaign by HBO comic John Oliver, who sold his luxury seats during opening week for 25 cents to anyone dressed as "riff-raff."
