Red Sox's David Ortiz: Out of Sunday's lineup

Ortiz is out of the lineup Sunday against the Rangers, Pete Abraham of The Boston Globe reports.

Analysis:

Ortiz isn't dealing with an injury, but at the request of team trainers, he'll hold himself out as the Red Sox play an afternoon game in the Texas heat. Bryce Brentz will cover the DH spot Sunday, but look for Ortiz to be back in the lineup Monday against the Rays.
