Red Sox's Travis Shaw: Returns to lineup Friday

Shaw (lower leg) is back in the lineup for Friday's game against the Rangers.

Analysis:

He was supposed to be only available as a pinch hitter, but with Chris Young suffering a hamstring injury Thursday, Shaw was called upon to play a few innings in left against the White Sox. His lower leg soreness appears to be behind him now, so he'll take back over at third base Friday and bat eighth in the order against Texas.
