Dodgers' Trayce Thompson: Not in Friday's lineup

Thompson is not in the lineup for Friday's game against the Pirates, Eric Stephen of SB Nation reports.

Analysis:

He will sit in favor of Howie Kendrick in left field for the second time three games. Manager Dave Roberts said earlier in the week that Thompson will likely platoon in left field with Yasiel Puig returning from the DL, but Thompson has fared well against right-handers this season (.813 OPS) and should continue to see opportunities outside of strict platoon situations.
