Mets' Bartolo Colon: Will throw bullpen session Thursday

Colon will throw a bullpen session Thursday to test out his bruised right thumb, Adam Rubin of ESPN New York reports.

Analysis:

As long as the bullpen session goes well, Colon is expected to make his next start with the Mets Sunday against the Braves. In a start earlier this year against Atlanta, Colon pitched eight scoreless innings while striking out seven and walking none.
