Blue Jays' Jose Bautista: Rehabbing big toe in Florida

Bautista (toe) began rehab in Florida on Tuesday, Jeff Blair of Sportsnet reports.

Analysis:

Bautista initially injured his toe after crashing into the right field wall during a game on June 16 but it had remained unclear what the severity was. The Blue Jays are now unofficially diagnosing the ailment as turf toe, which is significantly better than the worst-case scenario -- a fracture. The 35-year-old will continue rehabbing in Florida for the time being.
