Giants' Jeff Samardzija: Tosses complete game victory Friday
Samardzia (8-4) allowed one run on four hits while striking out four to earn the win Friday at the Rays.
Analysis:
Samardzija had a shutout going until he gave up a homer to Brad Miller with two outs in the ninth inning, but the Giants provided plenty of run support to get the righty the victory. This was only his first quality start in his last four outings, though his ERA is a solid 3.14. He'll make his next start Wednesday at the Pirates.
