Report: D-Backs getting calls about Ziegler, Hudson

Dave Stewart's phone is hot.

The Arizona Diamondbacks general manager is getting calls on potential free-agent relievers Brad Ziegler and Daniel Hudson, according to Ken Rosenthal of FOX Sports.

Rosenthal adds the club will consider extensions for both of them before the trade deadline, but Stewart will need to speak with management before proceeding any further.

In 27 2/3 innings out of the pen, Ziegler has been impressive, posting a 2.93 ERA without giving up a home run.

Hudson has been just a tad better, owning a 1.80 ERA in 25 innings. He's given up five runs all season while striking out 22.

Arizona currently sits 11 1/2 games back of the NL West-leading San Francisco Giants and seven games back of a wild-card spot.
