Blue Jays' Jose Bautista: Expected back Monday

Bautista (thigh) is expected to return to the lineup as the DH for Monday's series opener against the Phillies, Ben Nicholson-Smith of Sportsnet.ca reports.

Analysis:

Bautista was held out of action for the third straight game Sunday, but it appears a return date is now in sight. In an effort to ease the slugger back into action, Bautista will be exempt from playing defense Monday, but will presumably return to the field later in the week.
