Cubs' Kyle Schwarber: Progressing in rehab

Schwarber (knee) is making progress in his rehab, MLB.com reports.

Analysis:

Schwarber tore both the LCL and ACL in his left knee in the third game of the season, and he visited doctors Wednesday for the first time since undergoing surgery. "The reports are really good, and he's progressing nicely," GM Jed Hoyer said. "He's gone from two crutches to one crutch. Hopefully, some of his celebrations in the dugout will be less awkward." While Schwarber's progress is encouraging, the 23-year-old will not return in 2016.
