Yankees' Brian McCann: Homers in loss to Blue Jays

McCann hit his seventh home run, a two-run shot, in a 1-for-4 game Monday against the Blue Jays.

Analysis:

McCann has been mired in a brutal slump, as he hasn't had a multi-hit game since May 15 against the White Sox. He was just 3-for-34 (.088) over a 10-game span entering Monday's game, so the veteran badly needed something to get things turned around. Even with the slump, McCann has a respectable .231/.325/.413 batting line, so if he can find a hot streak, he can turn his season around quickly.
