Royals' Eric Hosmer: Mashes 10th homer against Rays

Hosmer hit his 10th home run as part of a 2-for-4 game with three RBI in Monday's win over the Rays.

Analysis:

Hosmer is on fire, with a five-game hitting streak that now includes 12 RBI, three doubles and two home runs. In that short span, he's raised his batting line from an already solid .298/.353/.497 to a tremendous .323/.370/.547. He's now on pace for 32 home runs, so it shouldn't be a challenge for him to top his career high of 19, set back in his rookie year of 2011.
