Cubs' John Lackey: Strong effort in Sunday's win over Phillies

Lackey (5-2) tossed seven innings Sunday, allowing one run on four hits and four walks while striking out six in a win against the Phillies.

Analysis:

The only run came on a solo shot by Tyler Goeddel. Lackey enjoyed a strong May, reeling off six quality starts in six trips to the mound with a 2.09 ERA and 40:11 K:BB in 43 innings. He'll look to continue his run of success Friday at home against the Diamondbacks.
