Royals' Chris Young: To throw sim game later in week
Young (forearm) will throw a simulated game later in the week, Jeffrey Flanagan of MLB.com reports.
Analysis:
The veteran pitcher is getting closer and closer to a return to the mound after throwing a 35-pitch bullpen Tuesday. He will likely throw a sim game either Thursday or Friday, but the team hasn't announced how many innings he'll go in that outing. Provided the sim game or sim games go well, a rehab assignment could be on the horizon for Young.
