Cubs' Jason Heyward: Expects to return to lineup Tuesday

Manager Joe Maddon said that Heyward (hip) will return to the lineup Tuesday, Matt Spiegel and Jason Goff of 670 WSCR report.

Analysis:

Heyward missed three games in a row after injuring his hip in Friday's matchup, but it seems that Maddon is confident enough in the outfielder's progress that he could come out and say he'll return to the lineup before the lineup has been released. Naturally, this isn't official until the lineup is released, but it seems like it's all systems go with the 26-year-old for Tuesday's game versus the Cardinals.
