Rangers' Shin-Soo Choo: Out through Sunday
Choo (hamstring) is not expected to play in Sunday's series finale against the Astros.
Analysis:
Choo, who was pulled from Friday's game early when he felt tightness in his left hamstring, reported some improvement Saturday, but was unable to play and is looking doubtful for Sunday. If Choo remains sidelined by the time second baseman Rougned Odor begins to serve his suspension for an altercation with Toronto's Jose Bautista, the Rangers may opt to place Choo on the disabled list. When Odor does begin to serve his suspension, which could come as early as Tuesday, the Rangers can't replace him on the 25-man roster. So, they'll have to play one man short and don't want to be two men down with Choo unavailable to play.
