There's no place like home.

Roughly 24 hours after taking a strong right hook to the jaw from Rangers second baseman Rougned Odor, Jose Bautista was treated to a standing ovation from the 26,516 fans in attendance at Rogers Centre prior to his first-inning at-bat on Monday.

Opposing Rays lefty Drew Smyly, the Toronto Blue Jays slugger walked on five pitches, and was later pulled in the sixth with Tampa Bay holding a sizable 11-1 lead. He drove in one of the club's two runs during its 13-2 loss to the Rays.

Bautista declined to speak with reporters Monday, a day after an ugly benches-clearing brawl in Texas led to six ejections and possibly several suspensions. Joe Torre, Major League Baseball's chief baseball officer, said Monday he expects to announce suspensions from Sunday's fight on Tuesday.
